The collection consists of scrapbooks, photographs, audiovisual material, and honors and awards, the bulk of which are in the form of plaques.The papers trace her career from the early days in radio, to her work in television and movie productions, through to her retirement in 1982 and subsequent activities.

Content Abstract: William O. "Bill" Ginn was a composer and arranger of film music, advertising music and commercial music for performers. The bulk of the William O. Ginn Papers is comprised of sheet music, project files and correspondence.

Content Abstract: Theron Kirk is the composer of more than 1,000 published works for chorus, chamber groups, symphony orchestra, vocal solo, organ, carillon, and a one-act opera. Material consists of music composed by Kirk. There are also cassette tapes of performances, photographs, tapes and reels of music performances, music composed by others, correspondence, royalties and contracts, clippings, biographies of Kirk, calendars, music notes, retirement mementos, and certificates.

Content Abstract: Pleas McNeel has been involved in using various forms of media to educate and network people concerned about environmental protection in San Antonio and the south-central region of Texas, through publishing a monthly newspaper, helping to establish public radio and public-access cable TV, and through projects on the Internet. Content Abstract: John Mathias Steinfeldt, known as the Dean of Texas Pianists, was a composer, pianist and organist and a Master-teacher. In San Antonio, he served as organist at the First Baptist church, San Fernando Cathedral and at Temple Beth-El. Steinfeldt gave lessons and encouraged the study of music throughout his career. He was president of the San Antonio College of Music, which he founded in 1920. He had four children with wife Vivia May Steinfeldt: Cecile, John Jr., Robert and Eric. Cecile and John Jr. were also accomplished musicians and taught for a few years at the San Antonio College of Music. Music scores, correspondence and scrapbooks, which contain clippings and other ephemera. The material, most of which dates from 1900-1954, documents events in the career and personal life of John M. Steinfeldt. The collection includes some of his musical compositions, including published works, drafts, sketches and fragments of his work. Some material also concerns the activities of his wife and children, particularly those of his daughter Cecile.

Content Abstract: Charles Lewellen Stevens was born in 1873 in Cuba, New York. He was a musician, bandleader and vaudeville performer, and played with a number of musical groups including the San Antonio Band and the Beaumont Concert Band (he was also director). In addition, he served as Secretary-Treasurer of the San Antonio Musicians' Society, Local 23 of the American Federation of Musicians. From 1918 to 1943, Stevens worked for the San Antonio Police Department. He died in San Antonio in September 1946. Photographs, music scores, correspondence and news clippings concerning the activities of Charles L. Stevens and his family. Of particular note is the photographs series which contain portraits of several generations of the family. The family of Mr. Stevens' first wife, Minna Erbe Stevens is also well represented in the collection. Most of the material was produced during Mr. Stevens' lifetime (1873-1946).

Content Abstract: Founded in 1901, the Tuesday Musical Club is the oldest music club for women in Texas. The Club promotes and supports the performance and discussion of classical music. The bulk of the collection is comprised of scrapbooks and meeting minutes. Also included are numerous printed programs from musical performances sponsored by the club.

These oral histories were conducted in the Spring 2009 semester of the Mexican American Culture course taught by Dr. Marie Miranda. The collection consists of correspondence, release forms, oral history recordings on audiocassette, and interview transcripts.

Content Abstract: The Institute of Texan Cultures Oral History Collection originated from a regional meeting of the Texas Historical Commission held in Bandera, TX in 1973 calling for the creation of an oral history program to document the history of San Antonio and Bexar County. The collection consists of 900+ interviews conducted since 1967 and document a broad range of activities related to life in Texas.

Content Abstract: The University of Texas at San Antonio Music Department was established in 1975, one year after music courses were added to the University's curriculum. It was known as the Division of Music under various colleges from 1975-2002, when it was renamed the Department of Music (or Music Department) under the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. The collection spans the years 1975 through 2006 and includes programs of recitals and concerts of the faculty and students of the UTSA Music Department. Also included are black-and-white photographs of various performances and events.
